A tornado deafens with a nigersaurus' roar.
A tornado lashes and crashes on a nigersaurus' tail.
A tornado is fierce and strong and will eat you alive.
A tornado stomps it's big nigersaurus feet to find you.

Azriel
The snow comes on big polar bear feet
It sleeps well thinking of fish
The polar bear jumps in the freezing water
It is ice
The polar bear is fluffy when it sleeps.

Katie
Downpour comes hurting people
With the claws of a bobcat
Downpour is big and scary
With the face of a bobcat
And the size of a bobcat
Downpour is heavy
When it pours down on you
With the weight of a bobcat

"We are Kindness" a poem about the values of Colinas del Norte inspired by "Words Free as Confetti" by Pat Mora

By Anita H.
Oh kindness
You are as sweet as sweets
How kind are you?
You seem as the world.
Oh kindness where did you go?
Can you come home?

Oh kindness
You stay stuck with me
You're kind
I know that's your name
But you're so kind it's hard to say other names!

By Arthur J.
We are kindness
Kindness come in come with your kindness like a hug
I'll toss you in a positive box because you're positive

I'll say say say you
Taste you like a sweet food
I'll sniff you like chocolate because you smell like chocolate.

By Ella M.
We are kindness
Soft as a horse
We are kindness
Warm like a hug
We are kindness
Soft as a flower
We are kindness
Sweet like candy
We are kindness
Delicious like your favorite food
We are kindness
Happy as a compliment.

"I Hear My School Singing" (inspired by Walt Whitman's "I Hear America Singing") By Kora P.

I hear the clattering of the spoons singing
I hear the rhythmic footsteps of all our students singing
I hear the pencil of the art teacher singing
I hear the roar of the boiling water singing
I hear the security guard's keys singing
I hear the pages singing while being flipped
I hear the basketballs singing while being bounced
I hear the teachers singing while teaching the kids
I hear the computers singing while kids press their buttons
I hear the P.E teacher singing while teaching a class
I hear my school singing.

"I Hear My School Singing" (inspired by Walt Whitman's "I Hear America Singing") By Rubi R.

The security walking is music
The P.E class running and throwing is music
The cafeteria beeping, sliding is music
The art brush strokes are music
The bus driving, parking is music
The students running is music
The principal's shoes tapping are music
The STEAM teacher making projects is music
The teacher writing on paper is music
The custodian cleaning the ground is music.

"I Hear My School Singing" (inspired by Walt Whitman's "I Hear America Singing") By Greyson C.

The cafeteria singing metal clinking to a beat
The security guard singing I hear the walkie-talkie
Students singing and yelling and running like crazy
The bus driver driving and telling
I hear the books ringing and shrieking
I hear the principal writing and typing like crazy
The front office sings, too
I hear the door ring and ting.
